Rockstar isn’t slowing down on Grand Theft Auto V, rolling out the GTA V Enhanced Update for PC on March 4, 2025, even with GTA VI looming later this year.
First launched for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2022, this free upgrade is now available on Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, and Epic Games, ushering the 2013 classic into its sharpest era yet for PC players.

What’s New for PC Players?
The GTA 5 Enhanced Update swaps out the Legacy version, packing jaw-dropping perks:
- Visual Boost: Ray-tracing, ambient occlusion, and global illumination debut on PC, alongside AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS support for crisp graphics.
- Performance Leap: Higher resolutions, aspect ratios, framerates, and lightning-fast load times.
- Audio Upgrade: Dolby Atmos enhances dialogue, cinematics, and music.
