Anticipation around Grand Theft Auto VI is building as the new year begins. However, fresh concerns have emerged among fans about the game’s long-awaited release timeline.
The title is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. This follows two previous delays announced by Rockstar Games. Initially, GTA 6 was expected to arrive on May 26, 2026. However, Rockstar pushed the release back in October, citing ongoing development requirements.
Despite the revised schedule, uncertainty remains high. A recent poll conducted by popular YouTuber DarkViperAU revealed that nearly 80 per cent of respondents believe the game could face yet another delay. This result highlights growing anxiety within the gaming community after years of waiting.
At the same time, speculation around pricing has added to the debate. Rumours suggest that GTA 6 could launch at a higher-than-usual price point, sparking widespread discussion across forums and social media.
Industry insider Tom Henderson addressed both concerns during a recent appearance on Insider Gaming. Henderson said he believes Rockstar now feels confident about releasing the game within the announced window.
“I think Rockstar is confident enough now that it will release this year,” he said. He also noted that the launch could temporarily strain the internet infrastructure due to massive global demand.

Henderson also weighed in on the pricing rumours. He suggested that the base version of GTA 6 could be priced at $80, exceeding the current $70 standard for most AAA games. According to him, premium editions may range between $100 and $130. A collector’s edition could reach as high as $300.
He compared the strategy to Nintendo’s recent pricing approach. He pointed to the launch of Mario Kart World at a similar premium level.
While Rockstar has yet to confirm pricing or address speculation about further delays, the conversation reflects the immense expectations surrounding GTA 6. With its release still nearly two years away, fans remain hopeful but cautious as they await official updates.
