Excitement around Grand Theft Auto VI has reached unprecedented levels. Some fans have taken extreme steps to catch an early glimpse of the long-awaited title.
Reports suggest that a small group of fans has flown drones near Rockstar Games’ offices to spy on development activity. Others have allegedly tried to access studio locations directly, hoping to see early materials tied to the game.
This is not the first time such incidents have surfaced. In 2024, reports emerged of individuals sneaking near Rockstar’s New England studio under the cover of darkness. Their goal was to spot early visuals linked to the next Grand Theft Auto release.
As anticipation builds, some fans have also reached the entrance of Rockstar North’s studio in Edinburgh. In rare cases, individuals claim to have seen unreleased GTA 6 promotional posters.
While these actions may seem driven by enthusiasm, they have raised serious concerns within the gaming community. According to reports cited by Dexerto, such behaviour could disrupt development timelines and security protocols.
Industry chatter suggests Rockstar may consider delaying the physical release of GTA 6 to prevent leaks. A report by Polish outlet PPE claimed the publisher is reviewing distribution plans due to growing security risks.

Several known insiders within the GTA community echoed those concerns. Among them is YouTuber KiwiTalkz, who shared accounts from developers over the years.
He said some fans have attempted to infiltrate Rockstar facilities using fake credentials. Others reportedly tried to capture footage by flying drones near office windows.

KiwiTalkz also warned that a physical release could prompt theft attempts at manufacturing plants and retail stores. He said internal leaks remain a constant risk if security breaches continue.
The rumor of GTA 6 not having a physical launch I 100% believe. GTA 6 is going to be the biggest launch in entertainment history and by a wide margin, nothing will ever come close to it. Rockstar has not issued an official statement on the matter. However, experts say any attempt to trespass or spy on company property could result in police action and criminal charges.
Such actions may backfire for fans hoping for an early experience. Security incidents could slow production or distribution plans, extending the wait for the final release.
Despite the growing frenzy, Rockstar has not announced any changes to the launch schedule. Grand Theft Auto VI is currently set for release on November 19, 2026.
Until then, industry observers urge fans to respect boundaries. Developers stress that patience remains the best path to ensuring the game arrives as planned.
