Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) meeting held to deliberate a Ministry of Defence’s complaint against Geo TV was postponed till May 16 after it ran into a strong ‘difference of opinion’.
According to sources the discussion, which turned into a heated debate resulted in the resignation of a PEMRA official as member, fact-finding commission
Israr Abbasi, who was on the three-member investigative committee just a few hours ago, says the six government representatives of the12-member strong authority are biased and do not want to take action against Geo TV.
