The federal government has announced plans to award bonuses to Utility Stores Corporation (USC) employees in anticipation of Eidul Fitr.

The initiative targets permanent, contract, and daily wage workers at USC, rewarding them for additional hours worked by distributing the Ramadan relief package.

Specifically, permanent and contract staff will receive a bonus equivalent to their base salary, while daily wage earners will receive an Rs25,000 bonus.

To qualify for this bonus, employees must maintain at least 80% attendance throughout Ramadan to disburse the bonuses before Eidul Fitr.

After USC expanded its store hours nationwide, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives, it formed part of the broader Ramadan relief efforts, and access for more individuals was enhanced during Ramadan.

Under these new guidelines, utility stores will stay open until 10 pm post-Iftar, extending shopping opportunities for essential items. Furthermore, the corporation has also introduced a daily Iftar allowance of Rs 500 for Ramadan.
