Gold prices brightened on Tuesday, rising with international rates, to the delight of jewellers and investors.
The local market saw the price of gold surge by Rs1,900 per tola, reaching Rs241,300. The 10-gram price also climbed by Rs1,629, settling at Rs206,876.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that the international gold rate increased by $15, reaching $2,307 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
This rise contrasts Monday’s stable prices, where gold per tola was Rs239,400 in Pakistan.
While gold prices have varied recently, silver rates stayed constant at Rs2,750 per tola. Last April, gold peaked at Rs252,200 per tola, a record in the local market.
