Gold prices in Pakistan soared to new peaks on Saturday, influenced by a rise in international rates.
The local market saw the 24-karat gold per tola increase by Rs400, reaching Rs266,300. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed, with an increase of Rs343, settling at Rs228,309.
This surge in local gold prices reflects global market trends. Internationally, gold prices escalated to $2,577 per ounce, despite experiencing an $11 drop during the trading day, according to APGJSA.
