A Taiwanese restaurant, Nu Wu Mao Kuei, has recently stirred global interest for its unique take on a classic dish – ramen. The dish that is making waves. A bowl of ramen noodles topped with a crocodile leg, aptly named ‘Godzilla Ramen’.
The restaurant shared videos of their one-of-a-kind dish on Facebook, showing it is only available through pre-order. One of these clips features a woman who savours the dish by setting the crocodile leg aside, consuming the noodles and accompanying ingredients, and then finishing with the crocodile leg.
For those less adventurous, the restaurant offers a choice of different sauces with their ramen, which comes adorned with toppings like eggs, baby corn, and bamboo shoots. The crocodile protein is sourced from a farm in Taitung, but those who prefer a less exotic option can still enjoy the dish with more traditional toppings.
The cost for each bowl of this unique ramen dish is set at 1,500 New Taiwan dollars (equivalent to PKR13,793).
Indeed, the culinary world is no stranger to innovative and sometimes eyebrow-raising creations. While some gain popularity and become a sensation, others make headlines for being too unconventional.
