German FM appreciates Pakistan’s contribution in war on terror and regional peace

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif held a meeting with German Foreign Minister on Tuesday and discussed bilateral ties, regional security and peace in the region.

According to the tweets by DG ISPR Lt-Gen. Asim Bajwa, the German FM acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution in war against terrorism and regional peace.

He also assured full support for Pak efforts for stability and peace in the region and said, “Germany understands Pak challenges.”

The Army Chief also held an interactive session in Koerber Foundation, renowned think Tank in Berlin.

COAS explained in detail the challenges faced by Pakistan and contribution towards peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan Army’s media wing said that General Raheel Sharif explained in detail the challenges faced by Pakistan and its contribution towards peace and stability in the region.

He said, “Pakistan is successfully closing up to the conclusive phase of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.”

“We have sacrificed immensely, more than any other nation. The World needs to stand by us till dividends are fully realised.”

According to the statement, COAS further said that terrorism has morphed into a global phenomenon and warrants global response.

“In order to effectively win, synergy by all required,” he said. –
