Actress Gal Gadot experienced a severe medical emergency last year. The “Wonder Woman” star suffered a life-threatening brain clot while eight months pregnant.
Gadot recently shared details of the harrowing ordeal. She disclosed that the scare happened just before the birth of her daughter, Ori.
The actress described the initial symptoms. “I was eight months pregnant… when I started to feel the kind of headache that makes the world stop for three weeks,” Gadot told Variety.
Her mother convinced her to get an MRI in February 2024. The scan revealed a critical situation.
Doctors immediately called her after the test. They instructed her to go to the hospital right away for a “massive brain clot.” Gadot recalled the overwhelming fear. “All I could think was, Am I going to die? Is this how it feels before you die? Is the baby going to be okay?” she said.

Doctors diagnosed her with cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT). This condition involves a blood clot in the brain’s venous sinuses. Her baby was delivered via emergency C-section within three hours. Gadot then underwent immediate surgery for the brain clot.
The procedure was a success. She awoke with a profound new perspective. “The next morning… I realised that I had been given two gifts – one in my arms, Ori, and one in my heart, a second chance,” Gadot shared.
The actress has spoken about this experience before. She also received the Hollywood Icon Award at a recent gala, highlighting her resilience.
