The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has dismissed rumours about the Fulbright Programme’s termination.
On Friday, the foundation issued a clear statement: “Fulbright participants in the United States continue to receive their stipends.” Therefore, claims that the program ends or that students are stranded are false.
The Fulbright Program in Pakistan is an essential resource. It offers funding for Master’s and PhD degrees and a foreign language teaching assistants fellowship. Many Pakistanis benefit from these opportunities every year.

The Fulbright Programme has long empowered Pakistani students to study abroad. Because of its generous funding, it opens doors to top U.S. universities and fosters cultural exchange and academic growth. Misinformation could discourage applicants, so USEFP’s response aims to restore confidence.
As of April 10, 2025, the Fulbright Programme in Pakistan remains robust. Meanwhile, USEFP continues to assist students in pursuing global education.
