Frida, a prominent U.S. baby brand, has announced plans to launch breast milk-flavored ice cream in 2025, coinciding with the release of its new 2-in-1 Manual Breast Pump.
Announced on March 28, 2025, the product won’t hit shelves for nine months, mirroring a pregnancy timeline. This quirky dessert aims to satisfy a question many secretly ponder: What does breast milk taste like?

Don’t expect real breast milk, as U.S. food regulators do not permit it. Instead, Frida has created a close imitation. This ice cream promises a “sweet, creamy, nutty” flavour with a hint of salt. It is enriched with nutrients such as Omega-3 fats, lactose carbohydrates, vitamins (including iron, calcium, B, and D), zinc, and hydration from water. “It’s a perfect representation of the goodness of breast milk that we’ve all been curious about,” the company stated in a press release. Fans can pre-order now on Frida’s website.

The announcement generated a buzz online, with some social media users suspecting it might be an early April Fool’s prank. However, Frida is adamant that it’s genuine. A representative from the brand stated, “We expect strong demand,” suggesting that there is significant interest. Reactions vary from excitement to scepticism, and the nine-month wait has only intensified the discussions.
