Elahi Bakhsh Soomro was a prominent figure in Pakistani politics, having served as the 16th Speaker of the National Assembly. Coming from an influential political family in Sindh, he held significant positions across various federal ministries.
His portfolios included the Ministry of Industries and Production, Ministry of Housing & Works, Ministry of Defence Production, Ministry of IT, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, and Ministry of Water and Power. Throughout his political career, Soomro was close to several Pakistani presidents and prime ministers.
