Former minister Siddique Kanju’s son guns down a teen in Lahore

Lahore: After a minor road accident a teen age boy gunned down, Mustafa Kanju, the son of former state minister for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju, late on Wednesday.

According to police officials, Kanju and guard’s firing also wounded a passer by when he and his three guards opened fire following a minor road accident involving his vehicle and a motorcycle here at Cavalry Ground in Lahore Cantt.

The slain youth is identified as Zain, who according to police was a student of class 9 while the injured is recognised as Zain’s friend Hasnain.

Police have arrested three guards and ceased the vehicle after reaching at the site immediately after the incident, however Kanju managed to flee from the scene.

It was revealed later during the interrogation that the absconder is the son of former state minister for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju. Police have lodged an FIR against the suspect and launched a search operation to arrest the absconder.
