Foreign profit repatriation from Pakistan has surged to a six-year high. In the current fiscal year, foreign companies operating in Pakistan have repatriated profits and dividends amounting to $2.215 billion. In June alone, the repatriated profit rate increased by 23.1% year-on-year, with $414.5 million sent abroad.
According to a news agency report, this is the highest level of profit repatriation since the fiscal year 2018. Last year, the total profit sent abroad was $331 million. The significant increase in repatriation is attributed to the clearance of backlogs.
