Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari urged the world to stop stereotyping Pakistan.
In an interview with The Strait Times, his first trip to Singapore, Bilawal said, “As a young political leader, I feel the world needs a fresh look at Pakistan, away from its stereotyped image.”
Pakistan’s top diplomat said there are “many opportunities in Pakistan” First, he added, lifting the travel advisories on Pakistan.
“The world needs to see us as a promising emerging market,” added Bilawal. He praised Pakistan’s youth and fast-growing middle class.
The foreign minister acknowledged Pakistan’s e-commerce market. The country’s e-commerce business produced $7.67 billion in 2022, as Pakistan had freelancers in IT, telecom, e-commerce, data analytics, financial services, music, and health.
Singapore and other ASEAN countries outsource IT and financial services and can profit from our young talent.
