Five training companies’ flight operations have been hampered due to the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) delay in renewing their licenses due to technical issues.
As reported, two affected aviation companies were based in Lahore, with one each in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar. However, the sources claimed that the license issue prevented these companies’ planes from being permitted to take to the skies.
KIBOR was included in the companies’ bills, which, according to the sources, caused the problem. However, a CAA spokesperson stated that renewing licenses was ongoing and that the new licenses would be issued once the process was finished.
According to the CAA spokesperson, claiming that any company has been prevented from operating is incorrect. When questioned about the KIBOR issue, the spokesperson said that a board meeting would determine KIBOR charges.
