Five members of a family including children were killed and four others sustained injured when a huge stone fell over a house in Gulshan-e-Ghazi area of Baldia Town early on Thursday.
Superintendent Police (SP) Baldia, Asif Razaq has confirmed a massive stone rolled down the house owned by Zamir Gul.
According to rescue sources, at least 6-7 family members including children were present in the home at the time of incident.
An eyewitness told local media that the boulder fell at 4.45 AM. Owner of the house, 45-year old Zameer Gul along with his wife and three children was killed on the spot. However, Gul’s daughters Muskaan, Rooma, and Zohra were injured.
Rescue teams transferred the injured to Civil Hospital Karachi.
