The first meeting of the National Action Plan Committee on Thursday has been finalized to be held on December 19 at 4pm in the Parliament House.
The meeting which will be held in the committee room of the House will be chaired by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Reportedly, Abdul Qadir Baloch will be the other member from the government’s side.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Whereas, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has asked Akran Durrani to represent the party in the National Action Plan Committee.
Sahibzada Tariqullah and Fareed Paracha has been nominated by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for the committee.
Muslim League- Quaid-e-Azam has provided the name of Mushahid Hussain Syed to the government.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has nominated former minister for information and broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira and former interior minister Rehman malik for the committee.
Earlier, the establishment of the National Action Plan Committee was done in the emergency meeting called by the Prime Minister (PM) in Peshawar after the tragic incident in Peshawar that killed at least 141 people including, mostly children.
The Pakistan Army and the security agencies would also be a part of the committee.
The committee will form a National Action Plan within seven days and present it to the government.
After its approval from the leadership, the plan will be put forth before the nation.
