Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will present a Rs18 trillion federal budget for 2024-25 today in the National Assembly. According to official sources, the budget aims to achieve fiscal consolidation and reduce the deficit.

Sources highlight that the budget’s goals include addressing public issues, advancing agriculture, and enhancing the IT sector. It also seeks to increase exports, stimulate industrial growth, and strengthen businesses.

The budget addresses both domestic and global economic challenges. The government pledges a budget that benefits the public and promotes business growth.

A source noted that the budget preparation involved multiple departments and will be introduced after the Economic Survey is released.

Focus areas include fiscal consolidation, revenue growth, economic stability, spending cuts, and job creation.
