Imran Khan’s legal representative, Naeem Haider Panjutha, faced an extensive interrogation by the FIA’s Cyber Crime Cell in Islamabad on Tuesday, stemming from the contentious Facebook post related to the Toshakhana case Judge Humayun Dilawar.
Despite being scheduled for a 10 am appointment with the FIA inquiry team, Panjutha arrived four hours late. Upon his arrival at the FIA premises, security intercepted him, seizing his mobile phone and turning away his accompanying attorneys.
Panjutha, addressing the press at the FIA building, stated he hadn’t received any formal notice from the FIA, learning about his summoning via TV programs and social media. He highlighted the deletion of the controversial Facebook post, mentioning their stance that if the Judge indeed acknowledged the account as his, he should have reported a potential hack. This stance formed the basis of their request for Judge Dilawar’s removal from the Toshakhana case.
Adding to the unfolding saga, Khawaja Haris, another attorney representing the PTI chief, has been summoned by the FIA for a meeting today at 2 pm.
