Maria Gill, a female constable at Gizri police station, has been suspended following the viral spread of a video she recorded on Mai Kolachi Road. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Syed Asad Raza, took disciplinary action.
The DIG South issued the suspension, citing the need for professionalism and discipline within the police force. He stressed that the force could not tolerate such irresponsible behaviour.
This suspension aligns with a broader federal directive prohibiting government employees from using social media without prior authorization. The Establishment Division has issued an office memorandum to enforce this policy.
