The federal government has significantly cut down LPG prices to offer public relief on Eid.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has released a notification stating that the cost of LPG has been lowered by Rs 19.45 per kilogramme. This price reduction will take effect from July 1, benefiting consumers with a new, lower LPG price of Rs 19.45 per kilogramme. As a result, the price of an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder for consumers has been revised from Rs 2,321.67 to Rs 2,092.13.
The Ogra notification also indicates that the producer price of LPG has been brought down to Rs 19.45 per kilogramme, bringing about a reduction in the price of an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder for producers from Rs 1,834.33 to Rs 1,604.79.
The aim of this measure taken by the federal government is to lessen the financial strain on consumers and provide some respite in LPG prices for the Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.
