Earlier this week, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted the likelihood of the Shawwal moon being visible across Pakistan on April 9, 2024.
PMD anticipates the emergence of the Shawwal moon on the evening of April 8 at precisely 11:21 pm local time.
By April 9, the moon will have reached an age of 19 to 20 hours, becoming visible to the naked eye approximately 50 minutes after sunset, as stated by the weather department.
If the moon is sighted on April 9, Eidul Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10, according to PMD.
Additionally, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, concurred that Eidul Fitr 2024 is expected to be observed on Wednesday, April 10, in Pakistan.
