At least one Frontier Corps (FC) official was martyred while 20 extremists have been detained by FC during a search operation in connection with the recovery of 10 abducted people today (Tuesday) in Balochistan.
The search operation being conducted by security forces in Zhob and Qila Saifullah that resulted in the detention of 20 people including five suspects of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). It was launched in various areas for the recovery of 10 kidnapped people.
On the other hand, one FC official Noor Saeed achieved martyred in an exchange of fire in the area of Mastung.
Earlier, according to eyewitnesses, unidentified armed persons stopped a passenger van and abducted five persons including one security officer whereas in another incident that took place in Qila Saifullah, five more individuals were kidnapped by unknown persons when a car was coming from Islamabad.
Security forces told the media that the suspects were talking in local language; however, their accent was similar to those from Waziristan.
Moreover, the administration has vowed to continue the search operation till the recovery of the ten abducted people.
