Frontier Corps (FC) arrested 16 smugglers from Chaman Express near Shela Bagh, Qilla Abdullah district during an operation on Friday.
According to an FC spokesperson, FC and Pakistan Railway police jointly conducted an operation in a passenger train travelling from Chaman to Quetta and arrested 16 smugglers.
The smugglers hostage the train driver, crew and passengers and to avoid arrest and directed the train towards Quetta but were eventually stopped and arrested at Shela Bagh station where their smuggled goods were also confiscated.
