From October 01, 2025, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will initiate a crackdown on tax evaders targeting individuals who present themselves as affluent on social media but fail to pay taxes.
The FBR team monitored social media and discovered individuals posting about luxury items such as expensive cars, motorcycles, yachts, large homes, and jewellery. Notably, these individuals have not filed their tax returns. The team also observed videos showing money being thrown at weddings and parties.
