Tribal elders from South Waziristan vowed to fight alongside the Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies to protect the motherland against the Indian aggression.
In a press conference on Monday, the residence of Malik Noor Khan Mehsud, elders of the Mehsud, Wazir, Burki, and other tribes said that they would support the security forces if India attacked Pakistan.
The elders, including Malik Kabul Khan, Malik Rehman Gul Mehsud, Malik Muhammad and others, said their forefathers had rendered sacrifices for the country and Kashmir.
They said that hundreds of tribesmen had died fighting Indian soldiers in Kashmir and vowed to lay down their lives for the security of Pakistan.
The elders said that Pakhtuns in Afghanistan were Afghans but claimed that the same ethnic group in Pakistan was not Afghan but only Pakhtun.
Ghallanai:
Political activists in Mohmand Agency staged a rally in support of the Pakistan Army. Speakers at the rally they said they would not hesitate to fight against India to protect the frontiers of Pakistan.
Khar:
Tribesmen in Bajaur Agency staged protest against India. They chanted slogans against India and warned it of dire consequences if made the mistake of attacking Pakistan.
Kalaya:
Tribesmen in Orakzai Agency vowed a good response if India dared to attack Pakistan.
Hangu:
Councillors, students and political activists staged rallies in Hangu to express solidarity with the security forces. They asked the chief of army staff to give a befitting response to India in case of any aggression.
Mingora:
Protesters burned effigies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during rallies against India in different parts of the town. The protesters said that India would face defeat if it attacked Pakistan. They asked the government to support the Kashmiri people in their struggle.
