Renowned Pakistani designer Faraz Manan has secured a spot on the prestigious Business of Fashion (BoF) 500 list, highlighting the most influential people in the global fashion industry.
Manan announced on Instagram, stating, “Honoured and delighted to be a part of The BoF 500: people shaping the global fashion industry.”
As the founder and creative director of his luxury fashion brand, Manan is celebrated for his opulent designs that merge traditional craftsmanship with timeless silhouettes. His work features intricate embellishments and lavish fabrics, positioning him as a pivotal figure in Pakistan’s fashion scene.
The BoF 500 list, curated by Business of Fashion magazine, includes professionals from luxury brands, high-street fashion, media, technology, and sustainability. Manan’s designs have attracted Bollywood’s top celebrities, making him a favourite designer for stars like Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
BoF highlighted Manan’s impact, noting, “The designer is a leading figure in Pakistan’s fashion industry and a popular choice for couture bridal and formal wear in South Asia.”
Born in Lahore, Pakistan, and with experiences in London, Manan credits his upbringing in these cultural hubs for shaping his aesthetic. Although he initially studied business, his passion for design led him to launch his label in 2003, quickly becoming a prominent name in South Asia’s couture bridal and formal wear sector.
In 2015, Manan expanded his reach by opening a Dubai boutique catering to a diverse Middle Eastern clientele. By 2024, his brand celebrated reaching over a million global followers on Instagram, underscoring his growing influence.
The BoF 500 commended Manan for his contributions to Pakistan’s fashion industry and impact across South Asia, especially through his couture bridal and formal collections. Industry experts also recognize his role in evolving traditional South Asian fashion by blending heritage with modern flair.
