The Senate Finance Committee member claimed that Facebook, Google, and TikTok will set up offices in Pakistan.
Afnanullah Khan, a senator and a member of The Senate Finance Committee talking to the media, disclosed that on December 11, a Google delegation would arrive in Pakistan.
The world’s largest search engine intends to launch operations in Pakistan and also aims to award more than 15,000 scholarships. Google applied in May to begin operations within Pakistan, and all supporting documentation was approved by SECP last week. After December 11, we anticipate Google to provide us with more information.
According to IT Minister Syed Aminul Haq, negotiations with TikTok representatives are over. In the next weeks, the firm will open an office in Islamabad. Additionally, Facebook will open a location in Pakistan, but this is old news as the plan has been in the works for some time.
