The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is extending the deadline for voter registration, vote exclusion, and validation until July 20, 2023. This decision is part of an initiative to ensure the accuracy of voter data and streamline the electoral process.

In addition to the deadline extension, the ECP has announced a new mobile-based service for voters. This service allows individuals to text their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number to 8300 and receive immediate information about their registered vote.

According to the ECP spokesperson, voters can register using their CNIC’s permanent or temporary address. Voters wishing to register, transfer, delete, or change their vote can download the forms from the ECP’s official website. Completed forms must be submitted to the appropriate District Election Commissioner’s office for further processing.

The ECP has suggested specific forms for various voter services to simplify the process. For instance, Form No. 21 should be used for voter registration and transfer, Form No. 22 for objections and exclusions of votes, and Form No. 23 for correcting any errors in the voter data.
