In the unfolding saga of the illicit allotment of land for Nasla Tower, the anti-corruption court has revoked the interim bail of Manzoor Qadir, alias Kaka, the ex-Director-General of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA). Previously, Qadir had been granted bail against a bond of Rs 500,000.
Investigation Officer and Attorney Sarkar Sharafuddin vehemently contested the bail application at the court proceedings, providing potent evidence against Qadir, colloquially known as Kaka. According to Sharafuddin, Kaka had illicitly approved the building plan for Nasla Tower, extending the land allotment from 700 yards to a staggering 1100 yards.
Furthermore, Manzoor Qadir and other accused parties allegedly have illicitly approved a building plan on government land via the SBCA.
The Aftermath of the Nasla Tower Case
It’s crucial to note that Nasla Tower, owing to its unlawful construction, was eventually brought down in 2022 following directives from the Supreme Court. Since then, the case has been under active investigation, aimed at bringing to book those responsible for the unauthorized activities that led to the tower’s construction.
