Emirates Airlines plans to create a cargo hub at Karachi Airport due to rising demand in the cargo industry.
Sources indicate that Emirates has chosen Karachi as its cargo hub, citing increased demand for cargo services, and has requested 90,000 square feet of space at the airport’s cargo terminal. Emirates leads in cargo volume from Karachi, transporting more than 27,000 tons of cargo in 2024.
Conversely, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) only managed to transport 2,000 tons of cargo during the same timeframe due to inadequate planning and attention.
