Eminem, known for his selective presence on social media, has an intriguing reason for his rarity online: he continues to use a BlackBerry, a device considered obsolete by today’s standards.
This revelation came to light when DJ Whoo Kid shared a photo on Thursday featuring himself, Eminem, and D12’s Mr Porter in a Los Angeles dressing room, inadvertently showcasing Eminem’s preference for old-school technology.
In the photo, Eminem is seen sporting a T-shirt emblazoned with the cover of Too Short’s iconic album “Short Dog’s in the House,” highlighting his deep appreciation for hip-hop culture.
The trio appeared to be subtly promoting Eminem’s “Mom’s Spaghetti” restaurant amidst a wave of attention from a viral critique. Shade 45’s host humorously implied he had acquired Eminem’s last box of pasta.
The restaurant recently faced criticism from a food critic, Mr Chimetime, who branded “Mom’s Spaghetti” as the worst dish he had ever tasted, citing its stale flavour. However, this critique overlooks the restaurant’s unique concept, which aims to deliver the comfort of a reheated, home-cooked meal reminiscent of a hardworking Midwestern evening.
However, the effectiveness of Eminem’s continued use of a BlackBerry is questionable, given that the company ceased its network services in January 2022, severely limiting its functionality.
