Rapper Eminem faces an intensifying legal battle with two reality television stars over trademark rights and deposition scheduling. The dispute pits the artist against “Real Housewives of Potomac” cast members Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon.
The conflict began in 2023, when Bryant and Dixon applied to register the trademark for their podcast, “Reasonably Shady.” Eminem, whose iconic stage name includes “Slim Shady,” opposed the application. He argued that “shady” is too closely associated with his established brand. What began as a trademark disagreement has escalated into a more complex legal standoff.
Eminem is accusing Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon of harassment in their ongoing “Reasonably Shady” trademark battle. The “RHOP” stars say he’s been difficult to schedule for a deposition, while Eminem claims their insistence on a start-time dispute is harassment.

The latest controversy involves scheduling Eminem’s deposition. Bryant and Dixon claimed that coordinating a meeting became nearly impossible. His legal team offered only a two-hour window on October 29. Their attorneys accused Eminem’s side of refusing to cooperate in good faith and creating artificial scheduling conflicts.

Eminem’s legal team responded to these accusations on November 11, denying them and calling the complaints exaggerated. Paul Rosenberg, his manager, explained that the rapper dedicates his mornings to studio work. Rescheduling would disrupt both his creative process and his collaborators’ schedules. His attorneys characterized the Housewives’ motion as an attempt to harass him over a minor scheduling matter. The trademark office has yet to reach a final decision in the case.
