Emily Ratajkowski criticized the NFL after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest.
Hamlin was hospitalized after a routine tackle on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins, postponing the match.
Ratajkowski wrote on Twitter, “Sorry but….f–k the NFL”
The timing of the post suggests the model blasted the NFL over the incident. Bills released a statement Thursday about Hamlin’s health.
His doctors said that Damar Hamlin has shown “remarkable improvement in the past 24 hours. He’s critically ill but neurologically intact. His lungs are healing steadily. We appreciate everyone’s love and support.”
Following the incident, the NFL suspended the match and announced that the game between Buffalo and Cincinnati will not be resumed.
“As we considered the football schedule, our principles have been to limit disruption across the league and minimize competitive inequities,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
“I recognize that there is no perfect solution. However, the proposal we ask the owners to consider addresses the most significant potential equitable issues.”
“This has been a very difficult week. We continue to focus on the recovery of Damar Hamlin. We are encouraged by the improvements in his condition and the tremendous outpouring of support and care for Damar and his family from across the country.”
