Elton John has revealed that he may not live to see his two children get married due to a serious infection that has caused him to lose his eyesight, which has left his husband, David Furnish, deeply distressed as he grappled with the reality of John’s mortality.
At 77 years old, John has been battling an infection that tragically robbed him of his vision. Despite these challenges, he recently concluded his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, choosing to dedicate more time to his family. John and Furnish, married for a decade, are raising two sons, Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11.

We all do—Elton’s vitality makes it a believable notion, but it confronts us with that reality.”

Despite the setback, he enjoyed “The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical” at the venue. In a conversation with ABC News, John admitted uncertainty about his future performances, as he can no longer see lyrics to gauge the flow of his songs.
