Elon Musk has reignited the debate on H-1B visas and immigration reform with a fiery exchange on X (formerly Twitter) dropped the “F-word” in response to a MAGA supporter who criticized the visa program.
Musk, himself a beneficiary of the H-1B visa, strongly defended the program, highlighting its role in driving innovation in America. Responding to user Steve Mackey, who used Musk’s earlier comments to push an anti-H-1B agenda, Musk fired back:
“The reason I’m in America, along with many critical people who built SpaceX, Tesla, and other companies that made America strong, is because of H1B. Take a big step back and F**K YOURSELF.”
He further added:
“I will go to war on this issue the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend.”
Following Musk’s response, the user attempted to de-escalate the situation by stating he remained a fan of Musk despite their disagreement:
“I personally am the biggest fan of Elon on the planet and always will be.”
“Stop trying to optimize something that shouldn’t exist.”
“Let’s optimize H1-B.” https://t.co/tij6byJeW2

Musk has been vocal about his stance on immigration, advocating for legal immigration through programs like H-1B visas. He recently urged the removal of “hateful, unrepentant racists” from the Republican Party, calling for a balanced approach to immigration reform.
In a separate exchange, Musk agreed with Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, who criticized MAGA Republicans for adopting losing strategies:
“Yes. And those contemptible fools must be removed from the Republican Party, root and stem,” Musk wrote.
Musk’s position aligns with Vivek Ramaswamy, another advocate for legal immigration, but puts him at odds with hardliner Republicans who fear job losses due to immigration. Figures like Laura Loomer continue to demand an immigration ban, further dividing the GOP on the issue.
