An election tribunal in Multan has disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz for deliberately not disclosing assets from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Rai Hassan Nawaz was elected member of National Assembly from NA-162 constituency of Chichawatni, Sahiwal district in May 2013 general elections.
A common citizen Haji Muhammad Ayub challenged that Nawaz is a defaulter and that he has concealed his assets.
The tribunal issued its ruling today, declaring that Nawaz stands disqualified for holding any public office and that all charges against him have been proved.
