The federal government has extended the Eidul Azha holidays from three to four days. The Eid break begins on June 28 and ends on July 1. Since July 2 falls on a Sunday, government employees will benefit from five days off for Eidul Azha.
Previously, the government had declared a three-day Eid holiday, starting from June 29 (Thursday) to July 1 (Saturday).

This announcement came after the moon sighting on July 19 by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. Its Chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, stated that the first day of Eidul Azha would be observed across Pakistan on June 29.
