Pakistan celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with profound religious zeal, commemorating the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).
The Eid-ul-Adha Pakistan 2025 festivities, marked by prayers, animal sacrifices, and sermons, saw leaders like Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari urging unity and selflessness.
The day began with special prayers in mosques, Eidgahs, and open spaces across cities, towns, and villages, seeking peace and prosperity for Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah. Ulema highlighted the Hazrat Ibrahim sacrifice philosophy in sermons, inspiring devotion. Citizens performed animal sacrifices, following the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), while municipal authorities ensured efficient offal disposal for cleanliness.
In his Eid message, Prime Minister Sharif felicitated Pakistan and the Islamic world, noting, “These blessed days remind us of the exemplary faithfulness of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).” He prayed for the oppressed in Palestine and Kashmir.
President Zardari emphasised brotherhood and unity, stating, “This day revives the spirit of sacrifice,” and called for integrating these values into daily life.
Eid-ul-Adha, marking the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, reinforces sacrifice, charity, and community, with families distributing meat to the needy.
