Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan urged the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo moto notice on Panama Leaks.
Addressing the participants of the accountability rally in Rawalpindi, Imran Khan said, PTI Chairman Imran Khan stated that the purpose and ultimate objective of Ehtesab Tehreek (accountability campaign) is to build Naya (new) Pakistan.
“This movement is not going to stop now. Lahore will be our final destination. We will continue to hold peaceful protests if institutions fail to deliver justice” Khan said
Khan said Ehtesab campaign would not stop until its objective was achieved that is absolute accountability. “We won’t won’t give up. We will fight till the end,” he vowed
He asked PM Nawaz Sharif to act before they reach Lahore. He said we have been raising voice over Panama leaks allegations for five months but PM Nawaz was not responding.
PTI Chief asked Nawaz Sharif to present himself for accountability which is PTI’s only demand.
Khan said corruption destroys the institutions. There is only one thing that stands in the way of progress of Pakistan, and that is corrupt politicians and leaders.
On the menace of terrorism, Imran Khan said, “We all have to play our part to fight terrorism and make commitment to foil all the conspiracies against Pakistan.”
He went on to say that the only government acting upon the NAP is KP government. It has depoliticized the police force and reforming madrassah.
Earlier, leading his ‘accountability movement’ rally Imran Khan narrowly escaped falling prey to what could have been two serious accidents.
During the first close encounter, the driver of the truck on top of which Imran and other PTI leaders were standing did not notice a bridge up ahead. The PTI chairman and other leaders had to duck to escape being hit by the overheard bridge.
The second close call took place at Katcheri Chowk when Imran stumbled as he climbed on top of the container. The PTI chairman again narrowly escaped falling off the tall container.
The former-cricketer-turned-politician once sustained serious injuries in 2013, when he injured his head and back after falling from a lifter to climb on the stage set for a rally in Lahore.
