The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) dismissed a petition to disqualify PPP MPA Faryal Talpur on Wednesday.
The ECP deferred its ruling on a plea by PTI leaders Arsalan Taj and Rabia Azfar to disqualify Asif Ali Zardari’s sister as a Sindh Assembly member.
Today, the Election Commission’s ruling noted tha Faryal Talpur revealed her assets and that disqualification requires evidence, and the petitioners failed to justify disqualification.
The petitioners plead that the PPP leader should be disqualified under Article 62 of the Constitution since she didn’t report her assets to the ECP, making her no longer “Sadiq and Ameen.”
Faryal Talpur held property in Larkana and Shahdadkot and she is also a nominee in a case involving billions of rupees in fraudulent bank accounts. plea stated
On the last hearing, both parties’ attorneys presented final arguments to the electoral body.
Mrs. Talpur hid information, the petitioner’s lawyer said.
Talpur’s lawyer told the ECP panel that all her assets were declared.

Talpur won 53,627 votes in 2018 from Larkana’s PS 10 Rattodero. PTI’s Ameer Buksh Khan Bhutto received 37,665 votes.
