Rising Violence in Key Provinces
Recent weeks have seen increased attacks on political gatherings and candidates, especially in these provinces. Following the murder of Rehan Zeb Khan, an independent candidate from Bajaur, the ECP demanded a detailed report from provincial authorities. Zeb, a PTI youth activist, was recently killed in Bajaur.

An important meeting involving various high-ranking officials in Islamabad will address these security concerns. The ECP has also responded to recent violent incidents, including a convoy attack in Qila Abdullah and a grenade attack in the Kech district. Immediate reports and actions against perpetrators are requested.
Furthermore, the ECP is investigating a bomb attack at a political party’s Quetta office. In a separate incident, the US condemned a deadly blast in Sibi, Balochistan. The US State Department emphasized the attack’s detrimental impact on the electoral process. While initial reports mentioned four casualties, a recent statement indicated ten fatalities.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, PPP Chairman, denounced the attacks on PPP offices and candidates’ residences in Balochistan. He expressed solidarity with the victims and emphasized the party’s resilience against terrorism.
