The biography, titled HRH The Duke of Kent: A Life of Service at 90, was written by royal historian Celia Lee. Guests gathered to mark both the book’s debut and the Duke’s enduring role in public life.
Duke of Kent Biography Launch in London
Founded during the Second World War, Ognisko Polskie has long been a cultural and social hub for the Polish community in Britain. As a result, it provided a fitting setting for an evening dedicated to service and international friendship.
The book traces the Duke’s decades of commitment, including military responsibilities and representation of the Crown at home and abroad. It highlights a working royal known for steady dedication rather than public spotlight.
Attendees described the event as reflective yet celebratory. The biography sheds light on the Duke’s involvement in charitable work, diplomatic engagements and support for community institutions across the United Kingdom.
