Dubai Begins Construction of World’s First Gold-Themed Street

Construction has begun on what is being described as the world’s first street built with gold elements in Dubai. The project aims to reinforce the emirate’s status as a global centre for gold and jewellery trade.

Arab media reports said the project, known as Gold Street, is under development in Dubai’s Gold District. Officials expect the initiative to enhance the city’s international profile as a destination for precious metals and luxury goods.

The street will feature a distinctive architectural design with gold accents and refined details. Planners aim to create a visually striking environment that attracts tourists, buyers, and investors from around the world.

Officials said the project goes beyond visual appeal. Its broader goal is to position Dubai as a modern and unique hub on the global map of gold, silver, and precious jewellery trade.

Dubai Gold District and Jewellery Hub

The Gold District is being developed as a comprehensive centre for the gold industry. It will bring together the entire value chain in one location, including retail, wholesale, investment services, and jewellery-related businesses.

Under the project, more than 1,000 retailers are expected to operate in the district. These will include internationally recognised brands alongside regional traders.

Authorities believe the district will strengthen Dubai’s role in global bullion and jewellery markets. At the same time, it is expected to emerge as a major tourist attraction.

Industry experts say the combination of trade infrastructure and tourism appeal could draw international visitors, buyers, and investors. The project reflects Dubai’s strategy of blending commerce, innovation, and destination development.
