At least six people were killed and several others were injured in a US drone strike in the Dattakhel tehsil of North Waziristan Agency, sources said Wednesday.
Intelligence sources said that the US drone fired four missiles on a compound and a vehicle in the Alwara Mandi area of Dattakhel, destroying them completely.
The drones were still hovering over the site of the attack.
The death toll could not be independently verified as journalists have limited access to the restive tribal region.
