Police, Rangers and intelligence agency carried out a joint operation in Shehzad Town Islamabad and arrested alleged Afghan terrorist along with eight other suspects on Tuesday.
Documents and fake stamps were recovered from the terrorist suspected to be Afghan who has now been given in the custody of the intelligence agency for interrogation whereas weapons were recovered from eight other suspects.
On the other hand, police and elite force detained dozens of suspects from Fakir Killey in Peshawar during a joint search operation. Police besieged the area and carried door to door search to check the documents of the locals and Afghan migrants residing in the area. Dozens of suspects were detained as a result of the operation.
According to Superintendent Police (SP) Rural Shakirullah Bangash search operations were being carried out in various areas on the orders of Inspector General (IG) Police. He informed that search operations in the jurisdiction of various police stations would be carried out every third day.
Adjoining areas of Fakir Killey were also searched while dense fog troubled the police officers.
