A confrontation reportedly erupted between the family of the Sindh Home Secretary and another family over a minor issue at a private restaurant in Defence, Karachi, potentially escalating to a legal case.
The dispute began when children from both families clashed at a restaurant on Khayaban-e-Sahar in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI, leading adults and eventually women from both sides to get involved. The conflict escalated to physical altercations, with a video online showing the exchange of slaps and punches.
Police sources indicated that the family of the Home Secretary was one of the involved parties. The families initially insisted on pressing charges against each other.
However, following the intervention of notable figures, the families reached a reconciliation at the police station, settling the matter amicably. The disagreement had reportedly started over a chair taken from one of the tables.
