At a recent concert in the United Kingdom, popular Indian singer Diljit Dosanjh captured hearts as he promoted peace between India and Pakistan, serving as an unofficial ambassador of love.
During his Manchester show, the 40-year-old Punjabi music icon invited a fan onstage and gifted her a signed box of sneakers, which delighted the audience. He then inquired about her origin, to which she responded that she was from Pakistan. This prompted Dosanjh to ask the crowd to applaud her, fostering goodwill among his fans from both nations.
“Look, whether from India or Pakistan, they are all one for me. Punjabi hearts are filled with love for everyone,” Dosanjh declared, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Dosanjh advocated for unity, criticizing the political borders that divide nations. Earlier this year, he showed his affection for Pakistani music by performing Arif Lohar’s hit ‘Jugni’ in Dallas.
Having launched his career in Jalandhar, India, in 2002, Dosanjh has quickly ascended to stardom, becoming a leading figure in Punjabi and Bollywood cinema. His popularity has grown substantially, evidenced by his commanding high-performance fees.
